Youkoso!

We went for an amazing Japanese meal two nights ago. It was pure culinary theatre with a chef throwing eggs into his hat at our table, chopping chunks out of tables with a machete and then dipping the lights and setting fire to our food!
Ed and Phil started with sushi, a bit too fresh.
A quick update.
Had two really relaxing weeks on my own in Cyprus. Phil and Ed are now here and so we begin the holiday proper. The most worthy piece of news is that after about twenty odd years I have changed my hair style. I look totally different and I LOVE IT! I must say that Phil had no idea and so was extrememly surprised to say the least.

Moonlight last night.
If you can't stand the heat...
The clouds are rolling in from the sea, floating up the valley towards the rock face on which the villa precariously sits. Is there a drop in temperature? Unfortunately not! The whole of Paphos seems ready to slide off the continental plate and slip sizzling into the sea!
"eeez there enywun at 'ome?"
The Dell-Boy Trotter (Stavros Uwannadeal)of Kili village calls every Wednesday with bags of uwanna lemons, biggga juicy oranges and creespy apples! Today I purchased the lemons, bigga bag for one a pound! Just after the transaction was made I was about to close the door when Stavros winked, lurched towards me and whispered, "you wanna uney I got special for you." Well I have ordered some for next week. What do you think I'm about to get?
Snap!

The view from the Last Castle on the Akamas Peninsula.

The scent of an English rose in a Mediterranean garden and a few sundowners with Jill and Merv.
From the island of Aphrodite.
I have been so neglectful of this page that I am sure most people will have given up on me. In my defense these last weeks have been frenzied. There have been umpteen leaving parties, lots of tears, farewells, packing and travelling.
Phil arrived in Riyadh last night after driving for nearly twelve hours. Our belongings will get to the new villa on Wednesday. I was convinced that we had only a few bits and pieces but apparently by the time they had finished there were 92 boxes!
So now I am relaxing in the sun and the effort to do anything active is such a chore. It's a bit like having cerebral cataracts or a severed nerve that keeps sparking ineffectually, trying to find any sort of connection.
Hey ho, summer's here!
