Oh,no!
That sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach has started! Nerves are spinning out of control like plates at a Greek wedding! Eight days and then.............URGH! SAUDI! Security alert yesterday (we get instant text messages to tell us where to avoid!) so moving to Riyadh is fraught with even more danger! Wish me luck! Oh, good news, taking photographs is no longer illegal in Saudi Arabia.
BOO!

I am not normally a scaredy cat but when I am on my own here in Cyprus, I just have to go round at night repeatedly checking that the villa is tighter than a Nun's knickers!
When a friend dropped by for a chat I closed the front door and we settled down together in the lounge catching up on all of the news and gossip. Well you can imagine our surprise when suddenly we heard the front door slowly creak open. I shot up, rushed into the hall and there in MY hall stood a man, a total stranger! In my best Miss Marples voice I screamed, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOME?"
In broken English he said he had come for the barbecue. He would say that wouldn't he so I screamed a few more expletives and he ran.
I did not sleep well that night and by 9.00am I was down at Panicos buying a new lock and a screwdriver. I amazed myself by fitting it to the door in record time and although I say it myself, it was a good job done!
Is it a lemon?
Had a lovely meal at Jill and Merv's in an incredibly beautiful setting in their garden.

Being the perfect dinner guest I took some of the dishes into the kitchen at the end of the meal. And there it was! Nestling amongst the normal citrus fruits was this amazing bizzare lemon. Now I bet you haven't seen anything like this before!

Updated!
News in brief:
* Been to all of our favourite eating places.
* Spent a raucous three hours at the winery eating a fabulous lunch.
* Drank copious amounts of free wine with the afore mentioned lunch!
* Painted the bedroom and kitchen.
* Been a domestic goddess (draw a line at sweeping concrete though!)
* Had a fabulous time when Edward came to stay.
* Bought several pairs of shoes with amazingly high heels and wicked pointy toes.
* Had a wedding anniversary on the fifth. (Meal at Thalassa Hotel)
* Have eleven mosquito bites on my right hand and two on my left!!!
I'm sure that there are umpteen other things but I will save those for another day. Look out for the most bizarre lemon and stories of me fitting locks on front doors!
The funniest meal must surely have been at the Pelican. When we entered, the bird welcomed us prettily by strutting up and down. It then did a sort of pelican ballet which involved twirls, the odd arabesque and head movements which conjured up visions of the Dying Swan! It then proceeded to rest its head at Edwards feet and regurgitate three Red Snapper, obviously a Pelicans idea of a treat. Oh, how we laughed....After we had turned down the fish meze and moved tables.
